i got some work done this weekend. kinda hard when you have a small baby. got the IFS pulled and rebuilt the axle knuckles. I will be using toyota axles and a samurai tcase. i cut off the useless bracket on top and mounted the yj leaves so i could get an idea where to weld the hangers and how much to extend the frame.

That is going to be a lot of work. I hope you have a stout transmission and transfer case in mind for the swap. Do you think you can build themselves or will you outsource it to a quality Transmission Repair Shop?

Welcome back Burk! I just bought a mall crawler. We'll have to ride. I'll be in your area from thursday to sat eve. We need to hook up.

I will use the stock auto and a stock Sami case until they pop then I think I know a guy who can fix them...

That stuff will hold up just fine.

I'm down here on business. I'm busier than I thought I'd be but maybe we can hook up saturday afternoon for a little bit

got a little more work done, welded on frame extensions (2x4 1/8 wall). i will trim them later. I also figured out my shackle mount locations and got em mounted. welded on spring hangers. everything still needs to be finished welding, add gussets, etc, but i wanted to get the rear axle in to make sure i liked everything with the weight transfer. I'm liking the shackle angles, and my caster angle is 7 degrees, perfect!

This is going too slow for me, Saucifer. Will you kindly step up the pace a little? What about that blower you said you were going to put on it, and the cool led streetglow lights?
