Anybody experienced in fixing or replacing a cracked exhaust manifold? My 2014 f250 with the 6.2 gas engine has a crack in the manifold. I've watched a few YouTube videos, and it looks like its going to be a huge pain in the ass, especially if the studs break off. I have a fishing trip to Cape look out April 22nd and would like to get it fixed before then.

Driver side? They all bust. Not a bad job.

Are the 6.2 like the other Triton motors where the bolts break and you gotta drill them?

From what im researching, yes. They even make a jig just for drilling the studs. I dont have the patience to deal with it. I'd probably end up getting frustrated and setting my truck on fire lol.

The few I have done haven’t had it happen. The studs at the collectors are a different story

I know of a couple guys that have done them. Like any bolt/manifold where there has been a lot of heat cycles, most of the hassle comes from lack of prep. Not saying that fixes it every time, but soaking them, then preheating the bolt when possible usually allows them to back out.

That said...I'm going to pay someone to do the manifold on my Cummins now that it has the warp whistle  Time value of money for me.

Just turn up the radio and crack a window
