Inefficient bike sticker on hybrid car?

Why is it most Harley guys thumb their noses at jap bikes but you always see harley stickers on clapped out honda's, toyota's, etc? So, pro american on bikes but drive imports? I guess it's like a religion or something.
 
LOL. my brother in law has a harley sticker on his honda element. I give him a little shit over it, but at least he has the Road Glide to back it up ;)
 
I think the people that put a "BRAND" sticker on the same car are stupid. For example I've seen people with Honda's with a Honda sticker across the windshield, or a Chevy with a Chevy sticker. We get it it's a "__________" <-----insert brand; you don't need a sticker that says what it is.
 
Actually, anymore it seems to be the guys who can afford to buy a Prius are the ones that can afford to buy a Harley. I'd bet they make more money off of swag then they do on the motorcycles in the first place. My wife's ex-husband is a good example. He wears a Harley shirt all the time even though he's never owned one and most likely never will. He goes around from shop to shop buying t-shirts to wear in his cement truck so he can look like billy-badass and then when someone asks about his, he says it's in the shop.

I've never owned one either, but I'm not about to pretend I do just to get some pseudo-approval.
 
I own and WORK on a harley, i used to RIDE a honda....with that being said, i do wear harley shirts but still have my honda wings on my daily driver
 
I Agree with Scotts' point, it is retarded.
I had a sticker on the rear spoiler of my Camaro drag car (In oriental looking letters) that said "EATS RICE" The jap car guys hated it!:D
 
I saw a Prius pulling a boat today, made me laugh.

I also got back from Myrtle Beach. Wasn't there for bike week, but did enjoy all the bikes. Like my dad said, all these guys who are all decked out in Harley gear probably run the IT department at a big office somewhere, dressing in collared shirts and khakis. :lol:
 
You think he has a sticker on his Harley that says " My other ride is a Prius "?....... I saw a guy in RTP the otherday driving a new Ford Focus ST, Cool lookin/soundin car. He had 2 SCCA stickers on the back, one said "saving my gas for the weekend" !

How did you find that? /\ /\ The comments section under that are funny. So, the harley sticker on the prius is to keep from getting your tail kicked?

i see your point, but check your numbers-for gas mileage there isn't much between a Harley and an equivalent size metric bike... you can go on and on about this sort of rant... a true biker rides whatever is available, no matter what the make, but the weekend warrior that bought into the $30 t-shirt and all the screamin' eagle chrome crap usually isn't much of a biker...check his odometer!!!
 
It is all about the image. I call people who ride Harley's 'Costume Riders' because they all seem to dress up in a costume to go riding.
 
My co worker rides a FJR year round, only ice and snow stop him. That's a rider.

I'd bet most harley's get better mileage than my CBR.

Meh...I DD a Honda Civic to save money, but I'll burn $100+ a weekend on the boat fairly often. It's all about priorities. No need to fault the man if he chose a Prius for his driving needs when he can't be on his bike.

You've got to wonder if he put that sticker on there to feel like less of a p*$$^ when he's behind the wheel though. ;)
 
I don't think some of you get my point. There is a certain type who usually end up in a prius, tree hugging liberal who think only rainbows and flowers are used to make said vehicle with attached "coexist" sticker on the window.

I was expecting a vespa or some other moped sticker on it along with the standard 13.1, 26.2, 100k, itri, etc.

Normal Harley rider doesn't look at a prius, I know plenty of Harley guys. One of the pilots showed up with his dressed out Electra Glide, I told him "When I was little only girl bikes had tassels on the handgrips" - he cut them short.
