Man, I hate this crap. Ever had it happen to you? We scored some almost brand new couches last night off of Craigslist. Just got the plates on the truck yesterday and my wife is already putting me to work. Anyway, I was up late getting the downstairs back together and came up and wrote a great ad for the old couch and loveseat. But, alas, it never showed up in the results. They friggin' ghosted me. I've had it happen with cars I've sold before, but never something like a couch. I wish they'd at least tell me what I need to do to fix it. Craigslist is really sucking now, but I don't know of any other options for local selling of stuff like this.

Anyway, if you want to read my late night literary genius, here is my ghosted ad.

They ghost ads, like you get the confirmation email and you can go to the link and all, but it never shows up in the section listing or in any searches. It is pretty dumb, it shows up as active in your account and email and all, but it not in any public visibility. Like you are blocked but they never tell you.

Never had it happen to me, but it clearly happened to you. You obviously didn't note that "Chuck Norris" is a trademarked name...

I have had that happen before.

What, Chuck Norris waiting for you or ghosting ads? If it is Chuck Norris waiting on you, you may be one of the select few in the world that Chuck let go. You should be on 60 minutes telling your story.

Oh and I've had the ghosting thing happen a few years ago.

A+ for the descriptions

very creative writing

I've had it happen before too. I've heard that using special characters in the title ('-' and '!' in your case) can cause it...but I never got mine to show up no matter what edits I made.

wow thanks for this.
Our senior year in HS my wife moved out of her house and in with my cousin.(F)
Me and cousin went and bought a used sofa for $35 in '96. It was this very sofa. Even had the same odd 5 pillows that didnt match. We alwways assumed someone lost the originals and just added randoms in, but now I know this was factory original. lol.
Linda lived with said cousin the next 4 years while I was at college. Their place was party central the weekends ID come home. We got married and took the sofa to our first apartment, then our first rental house...all in all this sofa was my favorite bed for probably 10 years and it was old when we bought it.

i hadnt thought about that awesome couch in years until i saw that green and grey pic....that thing is awesome. thanks.
