Craigslist puller

That's nice and all but I don't see it being worth three times what I gave for my truck over four years ago. I know its a bigger truck but almost 50k more than mine. :shaking:

love how people think just because it doesn't have air brakes you don't need a CDL.... CDL's are needed for anything with a GVWR over 26,001 lbs....

Classes of License:
The Federal standard requires States to issue a CDL to drivers according to the following license classifications:
Class A -- Any combination of vehicles with a GCWR of 26,001 or more pounds provided the GVWR of the vehicle(s) being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
Class B -- Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing a vehicle not in excess of 10,000 pounds GVWR.
Class C -- Any single vehicle, or combination of vehicles, that does not meet the definition of Class A or Class B, but is either designed to transport 16 or more passengers, including the driver, or is transporting material that has been designated as hazardous under 49 U.S.C. 5103 and is required to be placarded under subpart F of 49 CFR Part 172 or is transporting any quantity of a material listed as a select agent or toxin in 42 CFR Part 73.

GVWR on those trucks is probably 29k, but you can derate them to 26k if they don't have air brakes.

true but with a truck like that its not hard to hook it up to a 10k + trailer and cruise on down the road.... two rigs on a goose neck and you've just got yourself a big ole ticket..

Don't you go getting too attached to it now Clark, we're taking it with us when we leave here next month! :D

Based on what I've seen lately, you could probably sell that truck for close to even money. Might even turn a profit if the buyer was motivated enough.

I'm sure I could but I'd never find another one to satisfy me. I searched three years for the "right" truck. 5.9 CTD, nv5600 6-speed, 4wd, drw, flatbed(is now a dump bed). That was my specs I wanted and finally found one and I jumped on it and still talked them down over 2k dollars.
My ultimate truck would be a long bed Mega Cab w/ those same specs but they only made them in short beds back in the days of the 5.9 so I had to settle for just a quad cab.

A guy in our club has the long bed mega cab, I believe it was a dealer changeover or something.
he also has an 8" lift and 35 or 37" tires and giant tube bumper... The thing is really massive.

I really like that truck. Probably has a DT466 in it.

yeah a lil out of my price range but I been thinking about buying a 4700 series low pro or something and slaping a flatbed on it for a hauler, driver, whatever... there was a nice one on CL a while back for 7k. '99 model w only 50k miles.....

The long bed Mega Cabs are a joint venture with the manufacturers and a third party. You can order one, they send it out and they stretch the frame and probably just put a long bed on it instead of lengthening the bed. They say it was even covered under full factory warranty! I bet it was a pricey option though.

Yeah, and they all got lifted 8" and put on 39s, too... which I don't get. The whole point of a long bed is so you can do work. Or... as Ricky B would say... #dowork

Cab overs kick ass! I know where a Freightliner c/o is for about 4,000 :D
