I new a man that raised them in the 90's. The males can be very dangerous to people when they are mating and their enormous feet look like dinosaurs claws. I'm 6'2' and it was intimidating to stand outside the fenced pen and have these very large birds race up to me, obvously aggitated, and look down on me from inside the fence as they looked like they were trying to find a hole in the fence to get closer!! some were close to 8' tall!! that's one big bird!
