Anyone have any info on the crossover steering for Chevy? I have an 86 K5 with a lift that steers like crap and I was wondering what I needed to get to put the crossover steering on it. I went on pirate and they just want to talk about tweaks and problems with it, not what you need to buy.

hey gregoneer i have a 2wd steering box you might could use. it was on my 86 chevy for about a year. If I remember correctly it was starting to leak a little around the pitman arm(sector shaft seal i think it's called). The pitman arm is still on it(Superlift #1104 i believe). You can prolly get the seal cheap but i dont know where. I used this when i first put x-over on my truck. i'll sell you my draglink too but there are better ones out there. its straight hrew with heim joint ends. lmk

to post big pics, host them on a site such as www.photobucket.com and then use the img tag to hae them show up here as big as you'd like...

if nc4x4 won't allow pics to be posted over 800x600 (which may be the case, i'm unsure) just post up a link to the picture on photobucket for us to click and view.
type [ url ] then put the http://www.hkjashdlhsagf,ashdgfkjh.com/sjdhgdf.jpg then end it with [ /url ] but be sure you remove all the spaces...

Hey Gregoneer hope this helps, i got two drop pitman arms for half ton fords actually had em laying around, cut big end off one of them turned it upside down and welded it to my pass side knuckle i know this is a nono but i boxed it up,wasnt to sure about it but its been on truck for 5 years now, anyways 2wd chevy fullsize box with drop pitman arm for half ton ford, then used a tie rod off a chevy 44 i had laying around just had to cut and shorten it,i know all this sounds crazy but it actually drives great, your truck will need to have at least 4 inches of lift for draglink to clear engine crossmember,i actually cut the stock crossmember out and made a new one that is much cleaner and unbolts well i think that covers it hope this helps a little good luck.
