Crozet, VA...July 7th/8th

Great pictures.
Do you think a jocked jeep with 33's could make those trails. I do not have a trailor so I would have to drive back to Hickory. Did you have a trail guide?

not sure what a "jocked" jeep is...

but they had easy blue, medium blue, hard blue, black, and red trails...

easy to hard, in that order...

they had some stock Rubi's on the easy/medium blues...

the orange Rubi with us was on 33's, and got away without any major damage...nothing but scratched rims/bumpers/rock sliders...he was trailered up there, but ended up driving it back to Myrtle Beach due to a failure on another rig that we had to put on the trailer...

they normally do Saturday/Sunday rides with trail guides...but I talked to Chris weeks ago, and got the OK to run on Friday...it was our 6 rigs and he gave us free roam...

on Saturday, the person that was supposed to guide our group got in a wreck on the way there, so he gave us a list of trails to run (to keep us clear of the other groups) and let us roam again...

Great pics. Looks like fun until page 41. How bad is the damage?

actually not as bad as it looks...

it bent the fenders...scratched the hood...busted the hood latches...and the oil ran out of the air tube, collected on the underside of the hood, and when we rolled it back over, it ran out all over the fenders...

so, the bent fenders, plus the oil, plus the ratchet strap to hold the hood down makes it look pretty bad...but mainly just aesthetic damage (other than the latches)...

So what's the status on the fuel cell? You look like you might be in the club...:shaking:

Cool trip pics though. My guess is tube fenders and possible new front bumper setup are what's going through you mind now.

you mean the fact that it's leaking?

it's leaked since day 1...just not too bad unless the tank is full and at steep angles...

we'll try one more time to seal it up before I head to Harlan towards the end of August...

all that was discussed in a completely unrelated topic:

...but tube fenders and a new front bumper are definitely in the works...

they don't offer it now...

he bought it and painted it Tennessee orange...along with the diff guards, the "T" decals on the hood, and a big "T" painted on the t-case skid...plus the seat covers...

I would have liked to ride with you guys some, but I trailered up to run reds. It is definitly a fun place. I got away with minimal damage this time. I only broke my OBA and cut a tire. There was a little body damage, but that tree jumped in front of me. It wasn't there when I started on my line. I am glad to see that you all had a great time up there. Next time you should camp with all of us and the cows. I swear two of them were enjoying themselves in an adult manor friday night. What a bad sound to wake up to.

Just throw up a post the next time you are heading up. I would love to go back up there. Not to sure about running all Reds but I will have full cage in place.
