Crozet, VA

Just looking for any information on Crozet..
Trail map..
Can you just camp or what about lodging?
Any info you have would be great.
You don't need a trail map there. You can pretty much see the camp site from the entire park. It's probably about 20-25 acres of land and it's packed with hills and big rocks. I kind of think of it as DPG but bigger.

For camping, there is a big grass cow pasture. When we went there there were 65 mph winds. Chris said that kind of wind doesn't usually come until the spring so it might catch you if you come now.

Finally, I don't know what you're rig is like but it's a good place for a roll cage. There are tons of lines you're not supposed to take without one and it's for good reason. I flopped twice the weekend I went (not including the body shop which is kind of a controlled flop you drive out of).

UNCC - It would be ok with your XJ. I ran the entire weekend in my 4Runner but that is the place that convinced me I needed a trail rig. There are a lot more lines that were possible if I hadnt been a pansy and worried about body damage or flopping. There are a couple of nice rock gardens and some fun trails that have some obstacles off to the side to mess around on.

I would definately go back whenever Chris has an open weekend up there.

Vanguard pretty much summed it up otherwise.

I wish I could make it but I'm supposed to go to Uwharrie again the end of the month with the NCKrawlers and need time for the wife to forget the past carnage.
