does anyone plan to go to harlan in the next couple months? i know there is a ride on 22 23 24th of july, but its my wifes b-day so i am looking for another trip. never been and would really like to go.

Hmm, that's the weekend before my anniversary (13th)... If I can schedule our dinner and crap (er, "other time spent with my lovely wife") the next weekend, I might ask to tag along as a guest..

I ordered a video from Flash, thinking I may go, if it looks good.

Try searching "harlan" in the past events here, it will turn up all the pics you want. Its definetly worth the drive and I hope it never takes you anywhere near 8hrs to drive from Dayton.

Dayton is Dayton, if you have been here... We have some work days coming up, and we have some off beaten paths, that a few of us, have run... We just havent broke it out yet.

Harlan is worth the drive if you are anywhere on the east coast. Probably my favorite place to wheel as of right now. Just so many different obstacles and easy access with people in the town who welcome you with open arms. Free to ride isnt so bad either.

I have the best wife evar.. she re-scheduled whatever it is (a surprise, she won't tell me) to the next weekend... Assuming her ocean swim race the week before doesn't get cancelled, we should be there Sat & Sun... (This is all, of course, assuming that my junk is done. )

I stay at the camp ground behind the dairy hut in Everts. Full hook ups and shower house. Last year it was free, this year I think I read where it's $20 a night. There are several places to stay, but this is the only one I know of.
I know some stay up on the trail system, no luxuries, but free. Also a heck of a pull to get up there too.

As long as there's a shower, I'm good, but isn't there a hotel that basically backs up to the campground/trailhead? I thought I heard someone mantion that...
