CTD 2002 lift pump connection

:kaioken: Has anyone had to disconnect the lead coming out of the bottom of the lift pump before? I worked on this yesterday and today and can't get the little SOB disconnected.
Its a simple connection but something is not right.

This is all I have left to do and the truck will be:burnout:as soon as its connected.
 
Is the pump still attached to the block? What route are you going with the new one? You're right, it is a simple connection. If you're having problems, unbolt it from the block.
 
I literally spent over 2hrs on this and FINALLY got it. I got my thumbnail in there, pulled like all hell and it made a "pop" when it came out. I'm thinking since it was covered in diesel fuel it had ALOT of suction on it.

The Airdog is in and I'm about to blacken the road in more ways than one!
