Cummins fuel filters

Buy the 30k service kit from Geno's. It comes with everything you need.

Don't waste your money on a fass or anything like that.

Any additional filtration/water separation will help prevent injector failure. There are some 3 micron filters available for the factory housing iirc.

I use Fleetguard. I have used Baldwins as well when I didn't feel like ordering the Fleetguard filters. I use the LF3894 oil filters and I can definitely tell a difference in the oil when I change it vs. a different filter, like the Baldwin. My fuel filter is a spin on too with a water drain, which is nice.

I was about to say...a year or so ago I could have hurt that price 40+%...and made a profit.

They are cheaper at Cummins Atlantic.
Might also look into a Baldwin pf7977. According to most, it's the best drop in filter available.

Good to know, I'll give them a call for next filter change. I want to stick with Fleetguards.

Well that would've been good to know a year or so ago :flipoff2:

@biggoofy I was talking about these:

It might be cheaper somewhere else, I have no idea. I click a couple of buttons on my computer at 11:30 at night, and a few days later, a couple years' worth of filters shows up at my door.

Just keep in mind that it's an 11yo truck. There's not much you can do for it today that will make up for years of neglect. If you're really worried about killing injectors, there's a bunch of free/cheap stuff you can do instead: Don't increase the rail pressure, don't buy fuel from places that don't sell a lot of it, and change your filter every 15k miles. If there's a drop-in like he says, maybe give that a try for some peace of mind. But don't go spending a bunch of money.

This truck has a fresh motor so I want to protect it. It also has new 60hp injectors Thanks Shawn

If you add a tuner or other modifications to utilize the injectors you'll need to keep an eye out for fuel delivery issues. The factory pump is sufficient and can deliver the minimum volume spec no problem but likely won't support higher power numbers.

I have a bd diesel lift pump already so fuel shouldn't be an issue. Thanks man.

Just ordered that service kit next is the external cat filter setup
