Given that you are in Gastonia Id PM firetoy or brooks here on the board.

Ive seen both put a Cummins in a Super Duty and make it look factory and they are both within a 30 minute drive of ya.

Of course there are Fordcummins.com and destroked.com that specialize in this swap, but I'm pretty sure there may be no one else in NC that has swapped as many CTD's in weird shit as firetoy/Tim. If you want to drop it off and be done, that's who I would call...

How many have you done in the four years it's been since this thread was started?

Duane

didn't see thread was 4yrs old

Well that was obvious. Seriously, what were you looking for when you found this thread? Also seriously, post some pics or links to yall's work.

Duane

I'd be up for it, but that's a swap I've never done. You can't beat a man at his game! I'd be calling him for help on the swap!

What a cluster fuck.

As a state inspector i will say that throws you for a whirl. Pulled one in one day and was a 02 I believe they did a 5.9 with manual trans. Didn't think much of it til i went to put the engine size in and popped the hood. Wasn't to sure about the rules on that.

Technically I think it's suppose it's supposed to be that year or newer. So if it was a earlier motor in a newer chassis, that's a violation, right? Not sure how it's reported in the system though.. they didn't cover that in the class..

It was described to me for my 6.0ls jeep that you have to notify the state, have them inspect and certify it to make sure all emissions etc are met then they issue a new title and registration with the correct information. Lots of fees and forms included of course. Never verified info though, I just said thanks and got it inspected elsewhere
