It was described to me for my 6.0ls jeep that you have to notify the state, have them inspect and certify it to make sure all emissions etc are met then they issue a new title and registration with the correct information. Lots of fees and forms included of course. Never verified info though, I just said thanks and got it inspected elsewhereTechnically I think it's suppose it's supposed to be that year or newer. So if it was a earlier motor in a newer chassis, that's a violation, right? Not sure how it's reported in the system though.. they didn't cover that in the class..
