It's worth trying. In the year 2040, I hope to have saved up enough to buy a new diesel truck, upon which I intend to immediately delete it and roll coal on all the EVs!

I don't know anything about that, but I do know that everyone I know with a GM or Chrysler that has the multi displacement systems goes to a tuner to get it turned off. Not sure if skip fire will be better or worse than how the current mds systems work (if there's even a real difference), but I bet someone will figure out how to make the engine not do it.
