i'm needing to pull my timing cover due to a leak and figured it would be good time to address the timing. any advise on how much. the motor is a '95 with aprox. 120K on it
Most of the 12V guys set the timing at 15.5 degrees unless they are running heavily BOMBed rigs. Here's a good writeup on the timing adjustment procedure
16 seems to be the standard I set mine at about 15.5 though I like to edge toward the safe side. Youll need the timing tools also. snap on part # SP500

has the delivery valve socket, gear puller and dial indicator. If you don't want to do it yourself we can do it for you. dont know how far you are form us.
