Will a turbo and housing from a 2004 commonrail work on a 1st gen engine. I have a friend that replaced his factory and I was wondering if it would work for me.

Define "work". Bolt right up and go? Nope.
Drop down to a 12 or 14cm wastegated housing and you'd probably be happier..

I was not sure if the exhaust man pattern was the same or not. I know that the exhaust housing has a turndown on it. I have a 16cm housing on mine now. What cm housing came on the commonrail trucks?
