Custom made knife and sheath

I gave my uncle a drawing of a knife I wanted and asked if he could make it. He's been making knives and doing leather work for about 2 years now.

He has some gorgeous stuff that he's made and this one came out pretty slick.
 
That is sweet!! I have an affinity for functional beauty in a knife. I will note (because when I do stupid stuff I like others to learn also lol) be careful with that cutout on the sheath when not on a belt. I have a similar made rig and had it laying on the dash and picked it up to cut something or other and just held the sheath when i pulled it out and my finger was in the notch, cut me to the bone in that joint.

Ya, I have made carefull note of that guy. I have already accepted that one day it's going to jump up, run across the room and try to kill me.
