custom power steering hoses

ok, whats the best route for custom power steering hoses? going from a GM box (have both type pressure valve inserts available) to a ford f150 box with 5/16 pressure and 3/8 return inverted flare fittings. going with AN fittings will work but thats dang expensive. isnt there a way to convert the standard hoses (Ive got both the GM and Ferd hoses from the donors).

can a shop recrimp the hard lines to the rubber lines?
 
Get adapters to go to AN, but then just have a generic rubber hydraulic hose made up to connect them.

The return side is low pressure. You can just use a bulk power steering hose and hose clamps for that.
