anybody know a shop that does good work making custom soft tops?
knees getting worse and worse, can't fold up into one as easy as before. thinking about- and get this- 'stretching my willys about 6 inches' hehe
so if I do that I will need a custom top. I can make the frame, but will need a nice top to go on it. would stretch 3" in door and 3" in rear panel so it won't look disproportionate.
as expensive as the tops are, it can't be any more expensive

Don't know any, but you might luck out with Marine upholstery shops. Probably the Only folks left that work with canvas & custom work. One Problem is the $100 Labor rate. Try getting a $5 Zipper, sewn into a Jeep Door! Cheaper to buy a New door skin! :fuck-you:

I would try Howell and sons in Cornelius. We had him build a soft top for a racing stroller a few years ago. He did a great job with it.

Sorry for the derailment but damn sum stuff you can't just gloss over!!

There is a good shop in Atlantic Beach that has done a lot of work for me on the boat and has plans to do something on the buggy. It’s a trek but it’s an option. Larry’s Marine Canvas

He isn’t cheap but he’s one of the better shops around the crystal coast.

I didn't race it, we built it for a guy that took disabled children on triathlons. It will book with 2 500w electric motors in the wheels haha. Howell did the cover and it looked great.
