It appears to me the banks in both North and South Carolina no longer have armed guards and havn't in a long time. I went into my bank First Citizens in SC and asked if I as a CWP holder could carry in their branch I had asked maybe 5 years ago but sence there was a merger thought I'd give it a retry. I was asked if I wanted to have their security guy contact me I said sure. Well he called this morning and I was told no wepons at all were to be allowed on their property and that they would have SC compliant signs up soon. Now in SC anyone has the right to not allow wepons on their personal property and I respect their decision . I have a friend who does not want them on his property and we are still friends but I don't go over there anymore they come here, and bring their children. They know my guns are secured . But back to the Banks . Does anyone know of a bank this side of Texas that allows conceal carry? I really don't need to walk in or be near but I will change banks even if I have to move my accounts to Texas. If I'm not allowed to "carry" they can not have my money.

In NC you can now carry legally in a bank unless other wise posted.

I was advised on the phone by the banks security officer that no weapon was allowed on their property and by SC law that includes in your vehicle.

I do not know the SC laws. I am speaking of North Carolina. I CC in my bank. MEMCU

To comply with SC law their signage would have to be at the entry driveway not on the door.
They'd have a tough time getting in you car to stand up though....although recent ruling have enforced that standard on school grounds even for parents dropping off

Concealed means concealed. No one should know unless you're going to save your life or someone else's, then you just did this country a favor.
I'm with this guy, concealed means concealed. I carry to work, church, my bank with clearly posted signs, everywhere. If it's concealed no one should see it, if it is seen its gonna be for a good reason and I'll take a ticket for protecting myself, family or any other inocent person around.

Well when the school (like i mentioned) has random dogs walking among the car pick up line that are proposed to be able to sniff gun powered residue it still sux

Nc allows for carry on school property but has to be double locked. Mine gets locked in the lock box and then the trunk. I was explained by our local sheriff department that my lock box (out of reach) and the the doors would do at any county school....

Time to home school.

It appears that the lessons taught in government schools begin at the gate.

What he said. I will be judged by 12 before I'm carried by 6.

And members credit union(my bank) allows conceal carry.
