D30 U-joint strap to ubolt conversion

So Iv Twisted the the straps off the The Front driveshaft and Left with the front Yoke w bolts broke off inside, I know I can drill out the yoke and replace with Ford ubolt style for the U-joint. I need to know what years Ford had these on. Thanx

I believe the XJ have a 1310 size joint - if so 78 and older. If 1330 then 79 and newer.

Drilling may be difficult. Weld on a washer then a nut the the washer and back it out.

I sheared them one time (on the rear), went to drill them, and they turned out with a small screwdriver on the tang shearing left.. seemed they didn't hold at all with the heads gone. 1310 UJ... and I think you should check the thickness of the yoke and the depth of the ubolt.. may be too short.. I think I tried that once.. too short, so double check.

also Jeep CJ's '76 up to early eightites, then possibly the pre-76 CJ's used the U-bolt style yokes.

10-4 thanx Renegade-T does anyone know how long these bolts are? Trying to tell if they r long enuff to get threw the yoke on jp its on a 01 xj
