Yes, I searched. I found people that made their own and that's wonderful. I've reached a point where my time is worth more than $$. Anyone making a flip kit? Normally I would just buy an Atlas rather than throw the money at flipping a 300, however I've already got a 300 with 4.1 gears and HD outputs. Thanks.

Down East Off Road in Wilson used to market a kit.

Not sure how good it is. I don't shop there. I drive by their shop to buy from Greg at 4WP.

The cool thing these days is to just use cable shifters. There's a thread on Pirate or somewhere about it. As one of those people who built there own (twice), I've now got a set of cable shifters to go with the D300 sitting in my shop...

saw some stuff on that kit in searching…looked at their website for info..all I saw were hats and swag no products really listed. Guess I'll call.

I figured I would use cable shifters and clocking ring from NWF…but I do need to address shafts leaking and a vent relocation.

They are a typical eastern NC shop. Most bolt on stuff and lifted diesels that haul a wakeboard boat and some mud stuff.

I think the D300 kit they have was developed back in the late 90s when they were more into Jeeps and trail riding but have now taken a different path.

I'm looking to use a 231/d300 doubler and I really liked the D.D. Machine setup for cable shifters. From what I understand he closed up shop and screwed several out of money. I'm not sure I would have the clearance needed for having them run under the tcase. The DEO setup doesn't really tickle my fancy. Not sure if D.D. had a patent on theirs or really how it looks in person.

I had a flipped 300 in my Ranger before I swapped an Atlas in. No kit, no nothing, just flipped, cable shifters and a few drips here and there. Like was said, cable shifters changed that game.

Go cheap like Jody said. Austin didn't use a flip kit either.

Down east makes one of the best on the market if you want to spend the money and not have to worry about it though.

talked to the NWF guy today they offer a nice flip ring, cable shifters and a couple of double lipped seals for the shafts.

Atlas

Sell the built 300, no need to mess with leaky rails etc.

I could probably get it down here for you in 2 weeks. He looks to be about 30 minutes from where I hunt.
Trust me I looked at that one long and hard. I just can't justify it when for less than $500 I can flip whats here and roll, my days of beating a rig to death are hopefully behind me and the 300 will be enough.

 Have you forgotten??? You ride with a bunch of professional hecklers, we'll assist in helping you find the rev limiter:flipoff2:

I know of 3(may have been more) broken 300's at Dixie run. While you have it out get Cassidy off his bikes and have him build you a case clamp like Austin is running now. It's damn good insurance, you won't regret it.

I installed the Down East flip kit 10 years ago and it has worked fine. Any bigger tire or more HP I would not go that route. The kit uses Atlas shifters. For $800 more I could have done an Atlas.
