I'm in the process of installing yukon 35-spline stubs onto factory 35 spline inners (i've got the non-neckdown inners.) the problem i'm having is the ears on the yukon stub are longer (from u-joint cap center to outer edge of ear) than the factory one, thus causing the yoke to bind up when the yoke ears on the stub goes into the machined pocket on the factory inner.
can i just clearance (grind) the ear down to work or is tha a bad idea?
