So I bought a GM rear full float D60 from a guy on the board here about a year ago and are just now getting around to putting it in my toyota but ran into some problems and have a Q.

It has a disc brake conversion on it using front chevy calipers (dont know it that makes a difference for my question).

Anyways it has aftermarket shafts in it, I was told they were Yukon brand but Idk for sure. The shafts have two sets of 8 holes in each one, like they are made to fit a couple different hubs or something. I went to pull the axles out to reseal them as they were a bit leaky. When putting them back in I noticed that the hole patern for the hub barely matches up and MOSTLY that the holes are so freaking big that they over hang onto the inside of the hub. NO WONDER they leak. Thats gonna be about impossible to seal and the bolts are about impossible to get back in too. Anyone know why? Are there different axle hub paterns for these axles or something? Either way these axles are not right.

Thanks

Not sure, but...My D60R Yukons are drilled with only one set of holes and are the proper spacing and size. I'm thinking maybe these were redrilled to fit something else? Just a guess. Maybe they could be welded and redrilled to the proper size and pattern.

Maybe I'll try to take a picture in the next day or so and post it up. The holes look rather smooth and too professional to have been redrilled by hand, unless they were redrilled by a machine.

Well anyone wanna buy a set of axle shafts. I dont know what they fit but you are welcome to try em out.

Just put about 1/4" of silicon on the hub. Then put them back on and it should be ok. If you are worred fill the bolt holes with silicon before putting the bolts in.
