Whats the chances of removing the guts of a D60 (open 4:56) case thats been welded - spiders only (not to case, I hope)? In order to replace with a EZ locker or such?

I'm sure it could be done with a dremel and a few day's time, but I wouldn't bother.

Yeah, like Gub said, nil, unless you have a lot of time. I worked on an 8.8 once a few years ago, got nowhere, gave up

Oxy-fuel cutting torch
Hey Chuckman, I was thinking, an oxy-fuel cutting torch would do it. As long as the welds, aren't made with stainless steel. Just be careful, not to scar up the carrier. Any good welder, in your vicinity, should be able to do it. Not sure what A pro would charge. Plasma, won't cut deep enough.
