He's looking for a DD TJ. He wants a 4.0, 5spd. Years ago I had a 01 Sport that I was happy with & I'm trying to steer him into a good pavement pounder. So far im seeing everything is an X model, very few sports, Sahara or rubicon. They all have cheap soft tops on them (no sailcloth). He is drawn to a clean vehicle & likes chrome. Most car lots do a good job of at least presenting them as clean. The aftermarket dress up chrome stuff & aftermarket bumpers IMHO do not render a higher value. I guess given the parts selection & age of these, it's too much to expect to find a clean, un-modified example? I just hate to see him spend over $10k on something that hasn't had the care I know he'd hope for from a previous owner.
