dana 300 dual shifter question

In order to install dual shifter in a dana 300 t-case do you have to do any internal modifications?

If you are gonna buy one, look at all of them and then buy the JB fab twin stick, it is super nice

I bought one on eBay for like $65 shipped, brand new. Its a decent kit and works great. Paint was sub-par, but I repainted anyway to match.

I bought a similar set to these off of ebay. They were stainless steel and seemed very simple.

I just bought the stainless ones off of ebay, they haven't been delivered yet. They seemed so simple and heavy duty I decided to try them. I will let you know how they work when I get them. Just looking at the instructions, I don't see how they can't work. I figured it was worth trying. Plus, I like the stainless steel look.

does anyone know howto pull the shift rail in and out without having to dissasemble the case, so that you can get FWD-Hi?

You have to remove the plugs that hold the "pills" in. Remove the pills. Then you need to turn the shifter rails 1/4 turn (can't remember what way...) and pull out.

Obviously, you need to open up the inspection cover and unscrew the set screw on the shifter fork.
