So today, my D300 starts kicking out of gear on the highway. This is first time that Ive had 'round' tires (not TSL's) so this is the first time that Ive been at 70 +mph on the highway for extended periods of time. Im running a twin stick setup and Ive experienced the 2L rear kick out and have learned to deal with that. This is first time that 2H (rear) has done this, but it happens at speeds above 65mph and when Im out of the gas. Pull over, stick it back in and ride. Keep it below 65 and all is well. But Im not really interested in having to monitor my speed that closely. I know about the spring detent fix for the 2L rear issue, but Ive never heard of 2H rear kick outs. Anybody know anything about this?

My D20 only does it in 2L-Rear. Seems that if your 300 is doing it in 2Hi, the same detent spring/ball is used for both low/high ranges for the rear output, correct? Would you benefit from either shimming it a bit or swapping to a stiffer spring?
