This past weekend I broke my output shaft on my Dana 300.
I have been looking at different upgrades(company's) and seems like the JB conversions has the better design. What do you have and how's it doing? All input welcome.

Chip,
Is your D300 the long output or short output?

If short.....AA is your only choice as far as I know.

If long....... the Tera one is the least expensive and has always wroked well for me. The JB conversions one is a lot nicer and gives you better options if you want them(e brake, etc.).

Let me know which way you decide to go, I can get you a deal on either.

X2 on what andy said. Im running the tera in the rear and a JB up front. You do have to machine out the front bearing retainer with the jb kit.

that is what I have. Its fairly easy to install (once I threw the crappy instructions away!!!). I haven't run it yet, but it was fairly easy to install. However, the instructions are terrible, so be sure to take your time.

I bought the Tera low rear output because it was much cheaper than JB Conversion's. I have now been running it for several years on my 300 with no issues at all.

However, I now kinda wish I had the JB one so I could add an e-brake.

I looked at both, choose the JB version. Same length as stock, higher angle of operation, e brake capable, and no machining. Not to mention the housing looks much more beefy than the stock version.

Have you looked into possible reasons why it broke and see if something needs to be addressed there? I run a D300 and beat my buggy hard and haven't broke one yet.
