I recently bought a 88 yj and im looking at running a dana 300 behind the tf999 so i can run my gm dana 44(pass drop). I was wondering if anyone else was running this setup and what exactly would have to be done to put the dana 300 behind the automatic transmission?

Brandon i hope someone else chimes in here, but i know the bolt pattern and the spline count is the same, but im not sure about the length of the tcase input.

It'll work fine, but you may want a clocking ring as the stock holes will put the 300 down pretty low. Other than that, it's plug and play.

Be careful if you clock it up, you might run into tranny clearance issues. Using a TF727 the tranny gets in the way when you try to clock it flat. I am not too sure about the 999.

Thanks guys. Now I have another question for you. Where is the best place to get the cheapest 4 to 1 kit and 32 spline output upgrade?

Dang brandon, doing it up right are ya? ck with some fo the vendors on the board. Zubz, Cperry, or Carolina Truggies should be able to get what you need. I know the teraflex 4-1 kit will be cheaper than JB conversions, but the jb kit looks much stronger? I think you will be fine with the teraflex.
