dana 44 and np 205 question

I was wondering what the difference is between a 1/2 ton D44 and a 3/4 ton if any. I was mostly wondering if the bearings were different and if i can convert a 1/2 ton to an 8 lug without too much trouble. My other question is whether or not a np203 will directly bolt up to a turbo 350 that was bolted to a np 205. Thank You for any replies.

knuckles out is the only differance. Housing, gears, and axles are the same. If you want to swap over just get every thing from the knuckle out.
