Dana 44 axle shafts

Not sure if this goes here or not. But last weekend broke a rear axle shaft in a waggy 44. Called around today to get a new one superior, Alloy USA, and Warn, even searched pirate. It appears that nobody makes a alloy shaft for the centered waggy 44 rear. I prefer not to put a stocker back in. Any ideas? Guess I need to get a custom one cut. If that is the case is Dutchman my only option?

not sure if Mike can help, check out complete offroad...they have really good deals. Great customer services as well,Chuck
 
i know moser makes custom shafts as well as some stock replacements.... but I would think that one of these companys would make custom shafts too, and then they could deff make you some...
 
You didn't say which side you broke, but I have a passenger side shaft if that'll help.

Did you get the front shaft worked out Fred? Hopefully nothing more than that the Ujoint right?
 
Ian- I have a front inner and outter from alloy USA on its way. When the u joint went it took out the ears on both shafts.

ncjeepers- I actually did break the passenger side. If you still have it next week I will get in touch with you, out of town for christmas right now.

Alpha- I will contact you after the first to see about getting a shaft made. How long does it take to get one cut? Going to try and get it back together for the work day in Harlan.

:eek: Wow somewhat wasn't expecting that. I thought your hubs were supposed to give way first before the carnage grenades the Ujoint ears etc??
