I am needing to up grade on my shafts or do a axle swap. I am looking at getting a set of Nitro axles with 300m u joints. or would it be better to run a stock 60? I am running 36in tires with 4.0 and a terra low trans case with 5:13 yukon gears. I am going to go back to 38s sometime. let me know your opinion.

I would do the 60 with 35 spline outers. Then forget about it.

Id also go with a 60....35 spline outers a flanges. You could beat on it with a 4.0

the parts for sale section has a few.

i have a ff 60 in the rear now. i saw a those pm one guy

That was sarcasm. I assume you've got a 3/4 ton 8 lug d44 then? As long as you don't drive like a complete idiot, I'd go with the alloy shafts and joints. You would have to be trying hard to break them with that setup. Far less weight, far less money and more clearance for such relatively small tires. 60's aren't always the answer..

I say go for the stock 60. I have a totally built d44 and I have more money into it than a 60. And I can't make it any stronger unless I use the new RCV alloys over my Ten-Factory's. 37's and I break shafts.

Then the weak link becomes the R&P. I'd rather use the 60 as a plow......With a 44 you will wish you had a 60.

You could do the 35 spline ARB that uses 60 shafts....but you will still have the smaller ring gear

No it's not 60 shafts. Its just 35 spline. You're still stuck with the smaller ujoints.
