Dana 44 Identification....

I have a rear Dana 44 in my Jeep CJ7 and Im trying to figure out if it is Jeep,Ford,Chevy. The axles were swaped in before I bought the Jeep. The numbers on the metal tag that was bolted to the diff cover are: 5358479 46.13 3.54
The numbers on the tube on the passenger side are: 468A3 603912 1
Any help with identifying this axle would great. Thanks

What year is the CJ-7? Some '86 models came with Dana 44s.

its a 1979 cj7

3.54 makes me think it is probably a scout axle, but maybe FSJ too... do you know the WMS width?

From trying to pull up the BOM you listed on Dana's website on their search function, it does not exist.

According to the Dana website that BOM # is a rear from a '78 J10. Here is the list of BOM's for all makes from 67-78. http://www2.dana.com/pdf/X510-8DSD.pdf Yours is on pg 240.
