Dana 44 Info/Help

I have a 76 dana 44 which is a low pinion and I need a hp dana 44. Question is can the parts from a 76 lp work in a 79 hp housing (shafts, brakes,hubs, etc.)?

depending on ford/chevy/jeep/dodge the hubs and brakes may interchange, or if you want to just swap knuckles out then anythign should interchange, but the shafts may be different lengths...if your dealing wth HP its ford but which LP axle are you workin with?

Both are ford axles.

if you measure the shafts and they are the same they will work...the lp axle you have must be from a 250 and the hp is probably a 150 or 100...so depends on what you have as to whether it will swap over.

they should fit, measure the lengths to make sure. The knuckles, spindles, hubs, brakes should be the same as well.
