I've not seen anyone on here saying anything about them. I read somewhere, in JP "I think" That the 50 is better than the 44. If that is so why is there no one saying anything about them? I've got one I'm thinking about puting under a TJ . Any input would be appreciated! Thanks . Robby

I think its pretty weak, maybe a little stronger then a 44. Smaller carrier then a 60 and "puny 30 spline axles" (pirate quote). and I believe most of them at TTB...

Shitty unit bearings. Damn I hate those things.

Yeah I would rather have a 60! But I have this 50 just laying around, with the matching sterling . Just wanted to hear what anyone has to say. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure there's a very limited aftermarket for D50's, which can make choices for a buildup very frustrating.

I have been thinking of trying the same thing just havent found a D50 anywhere local that they didn't want way to much money for. My main problem with the D44 has been the ujoints. The D50 should solve this problem. I'm not worried about the Unit bearings they should last a long time with half the weight of a superduty on them.
