dana 60 case spreader?

is this a must have to put in a arb locker? its going in my front axle.

with the new style rd166/rd167 I would say almost for sure w/ rd35/rd36 can be done with out but difficult. we can rent you one $50 make it alot easier to do it right the first time. Its the only thing i use a case spreader on ARB's in a d30/44/60

why not just make one? all you need is two sections of threaded stud, two small pieces of plate, 4 pieces of pipe or tube, some washers and nuts. i made one for less than $10
