Setup:

Toyota IFS Box - going to ream the pitman arm for a 1 ton TRE
Leaf sprung front w/ Toyota RUF Bastard Pack
Chevy 60 front axle

When I mounted the spring hanger to clear 42's and whatnot I pushed the axle as far forward as possible.
As of right now if I was to run a regular high steer setup (both Tie rod and drag link in front of the diff) The two links would be hitting during compression. No money for full hydro right now so that is not an option. In the meantime what would be a better option?

1. Run a Crossover setup with the tie rod in the factory location where it will likely get mangled since I drive by braille. (Tough to clear some aftermarket diff covers)

2. Run a "reverse" high steer with the tie rod behind the axle? (still need to cycle the suspension and measure to make sure it wont bash the oil pan)

I will be running an assist ram of some sort, likely trying out the 6" throw PSC I have now.

What have you guys run in the past? Whose steering arms?

Thanks in Advance.

Move the box forward and stretch out your steering shaft. This will make the pitman arm clear the tie rod with crossover. I used this: http://www.sky-manufacturing.com/new/detaproduct.php?id=82
to move the steering gearbox forward about 3.5 inches and I'm running RUF (the 51" ones from a 3rd gen) AND the perches drilled, with barnes4wd u-bolt flip-axle all the way forward!
