I had posted that I wanted to buy a 6 lug Dana 60, only to be informed that I'm an idiot, there is no such thing. Is there any way to change it to a 6 lug to match my 6 lug 14 bolt? Or would this just be a waste of time? Its okay to call me an idiot again, really I don't mind. :fuck-you:

Oh. I guess I'm just used to being called an idiot and I just assumed....

On a side note how did you convert your 14 bolt to 6 lug. I've never seen a factory 14 bolt before, thougth they could be out there...

Simi floating 14 bolts came with 6 or 8 lugs, they have a 9.5 in ring gear I think.

You can convert a front 60 to 5 or 6 lugs, but it's pretty pricey.

Yeah, my 14's a Semi-floating, 9.5. Its free to me. That's why I was trying to find a better front other than my 10 bolt. I don't really see the point in getting a dana 44, I don't think they are that much better than the 10 bolt. And I really don't have the funds to get new rims and convert the 14 to 8 lug. I just have too much going on right now. How pricey are we talking here with the 60? Ballpark?

Main cost is the hubs, either buying new ones, or having yours machined. I don't know price, rockcrusher and dynatrac make them. I'm guessing over a 1000$ for everything.

My wallet is not that deep. I think I'm going to have to keep my 10 bolt for now.

Why not just get a stronger 8 lug 14bolt...You're going to be spending $1k on a front 60...why not an extra 75 on a rear axle?
Better wheel choices too.

options...

Gregoneer...If you decide to go with a 14bolt full, I'll give you some $$$ on your 14bolt s/f 6 lug. I'm looking for one.

Get to know someone with a lathe mine was converted to 5 lug and runs 1/2 ton brakes

That's sexy right there. I think right now, I'm just going to stick with my 14 bolt and 10 bolt front, until I get done with rebuilding my motor and get it in. then I'll work on upgrading everything including getting a 205.
