Hey Guys, I need some advice!

I found someone that has front axle out of a 1998 Chevy 1ton Dually, with 4.56 gears. The guy wants $300 for it. Assuming this is a Dana 60, Is this a good deal?

Thanks,

98 chevy would be ifs. Might could be an 89?

Jeepn-Jason - Really? I thought that all 1 ton trucks had front solid axles. For all I know, you could be right. I'll call him back tomorrow and make sure.

Here's the Add:

FRONT DRIVE AXLE - removed from a 1998 chevy 1 ton dullay. differently is loaded with 4.56 gears ***-***-**** ask for jeff

That would def not be a solid axle. GM stopped in 91 i belive. You would have a heavy paperwieght with that ifs diff. If it was a solid axle it would be a smoking deal though.

i would not give $300 for a pickup truck load of the ifs front ends

#1 it would be IFS
#2 true front 60s for $300 are pretty rare, not non existant but rare....even wholesale scrp yard prices are getting near 600

it would be the ifs junk

I got my 86" dually d60 for $350.

I got lucky though

Shoot! I thought I found a sweet deal, Oh well :(

Thanks for your help guys, you saved me a lot of time, money, and frustration
