dana 60 pinion nut, wrench size?

what size is a chevy front dana 60 pinion nut? obviously I dont have the right one and cant get in there to measure it with my calipers.

shawn is right. I have an impact socket and it doesn't fit on mine as the wall thickness is too much. So, I just bought a 1/2" drive 6 point socket from the local farm supply (cheap) and it fits in there great.

Is the yoke larger on a 70? I just bought the first 1 5/16 3/4" drive socket I came across and it had plenty of room?

some have less clearances than others. One of the Dana 60 I had was such of a tight fit that I had to cut the yoke off with the cut off wheel to be able to get to the nut with the thin wall socket. On the other hand, I've had some that had some great clearances without issues.
