It's not an FSJ but I give Daniel Paul (Owner and Friend) an A+ for his effort on this 1995 Chevy 1/2 Ton 4x4 Pick-up.
He has done 100% of the fab work and I can respect that always.
He had a dream and some 47" SS LTB's.
78 Dana 44 HP with 5.13's and Parts Mike Super Arms
Rear 14 bolt FF 5.13's
Front has FAB'ed bracket with 10" Superlift Springs = 16" total lift
Rear 6" leafs with 8 " blocks (waiting on 16" custom springs)
Waiting also on a T-case clocking ring for 4x4 driveshaft to front-end
Here's some pics...

holy 1980's. That there is alot of shocks on that front axle. Seems like you could take two and put the on the back for the 4 on the front 4 on the back.

I guess there is nothing you can really do about the draglink angle. but that has got to be some serious bump steer.

I will give him some props for not having a 4ft drop hitch.

wow, i give him an A+ for a booty fab'd useless street queen.:shaking:

i hope he also has a dream of wtf he's going to do when he injures/kills someone.

Thats a big truck, I'm sure Ricky will love it. I don't think there is a need for a front driveshaft though, I know its a pavement pounder but I break D44 shafts with 38's and I baby my junk:D.

Yes it is a pavement pounder.
Next he wants the 54 Boggers.
He has the stuff for Hydro Assist steering cause he can't turn it at a dead stop on pavement.

But for never doing this and on the cheap he is happy with it and that's what we all want in our rig's right??

looks good besides the crazy angle on that draglink... might wanna try a big drop pitman arm, and maybe bending the draglink into a Z.... cuz i bet its a bitch to drive on the road, and obviously its a street queen..

Looks like it has some sort of bend right before the TRE? Thats a rough angle. I do like 47s, but not sure if they overpower chrome diff covers.

x2 I agree with rich, I don't think bending the drag link on purpose is a good idea, even if he does gusset the bends it still seems dangerous to me.

I bet he has no bump steer wit dose ghetto 20 leafs per pack springs. De tires are all da suspension it has.

a quick "get me going for the 4th" fix

Well then Have a "BLAST" in it !!! :driver:

GET ER' DONE........& 1 more for the rode...

:bling:

What? That advice should never be given out, even if you're just screwing with him.

I think what Ben meant was not to take the current drag link and bend it; not enough material although it could be bent and new end links could be put on. Using a drag link in the form of an "S" on the Chevys when doing cross-over steering is actually a lot smarter because the drag link ends wont have no where near as much stress on them and the drag link will run more parallel to the tie-rod which is what u want for a smoother steering operation. I'm getting ready to do just this on my K5. Its bout the only right way to fix the steering when youre running 8 or more inches of lift.

Uhh, wrong again. It's a booty fab fix at best. You're pre-bending the bar into a pretzel. Everytime you turn the wheel, you're trying to bend it more... Eventually, you'll get your wish.

Go ahead, gusset the bends as much as you want, tell yourself it's fine.

47" ltb's on a D44? and he wants to run 54's next? i guess he is planning on buying some rockwells so that he doesnt end up getting stranded on the pavement
