So close! Before I would have paid that wrecker bill I would have sent the camera man to the parts store.
 
I've run wheel spacers and never had that problem. Looks to me like someone didn't periodically check the torque on their spacers. Probably happened jumping the curb at the mall.
 
Had studs do that to me when I ran wheel spacers on an 8.8
Pulled the shafts in the Wal-Mart parking lot, got a ride to Napa for some new studs, and we were back on the road.
 
Second the red locktight and keep check on them. I've been using spacers for several years without this issue. And wheel them too just takes basic maintenance habits to prevent something like this from getting to that point.
 
Been running spacers on my TJ for three years now.
 
folks like that are the ones that make newbies believe your vehicle will instantly burst into flames and fall apart if you run spacers. hopefully his control arms aren't adjustable or the next video will be loose jam nuts and broken arms.

Local tire shop thinks you don't need to start threads before using the impact. Cut your own!
 
They couldn't understand my attitude for them wanting to charge me to replace a stud when I went in for first free rotation after purchasing a set of tires
