I've got a buddy doing a frame off on a 69 cj5. He'd like to find a local machine shop to freshen up the dauntless v6. Teardown hone and basically go thru it and make sure it'll be road worthy when we get it back together.
Who do you guys suggest? Thanks in advance.

Really... Like WHERE in Raleigh. T-Hoff off of Capital Blvd. is OK but nothing special. I used Napa Walkers auto off of Six Forks my last time and they were OK but nothing special besides the ability to drop off and pick back up at any Napa store. Took 3 trips to get them what they needed due to poor instruction and then they forgot to give me back a main pulley after they finished so 5 trips and a lot of delay time.

Seems the further away from town, the better quality work. I have a favorite in Lillington.

Thx for the replies guys, we ended up tearing it down ourselves. Dropped it off at a machine shop in va this morning.
I've heard a lot of similar comments Bronk. Had water sitting in the intake for a long time, so 2 Pistons were rusted to the cylinder walls. Was able to free them up with oil and a little heat. Now the intake is rusted all to hell. Any extrude hone places in the state?
