I question that map based on 7a sunrise times being that dark…

I question the definition of "reasonable" and why it matters. Every area is gonna have too dark or too light too soon or too late at some point regardless of the configuration. I would prefer the sun rise around 8:30am as I am naturally waking up, and set around 9pm when I'm naturally ready to stop doing outside stuff and eat supper. But I'd also like a 2hr eclipse around 1pm to cool things down while I eat lunch and take a nap. That sounds reasonable to me. :D

Hell i cant figure out the map...

never mind the shady part....duh. Seem a graph would give reasonable data....minus locations I guess and the time zones.

The colors they used make it a little confusing....they don't represent light/dark directly. The color shade indicates number of days per year. Darkest (brown) = 0 days, lightest color (yellow) =365 days.

Should have used something like green/blue.
