We will be having our 2nd Annual Uwharrie Rendezvous December 14 from 4pm to 6pm at the Eldorado Community Center. The Community Center is located approx. 1 mile North up Highway 109 from the Eldorado Outpost.

We are asking all Adopt-A-Trail clubs and interested volunteers to attend. We will be talking about the 2013 volunteer workdays, the USFS trail system and looking ahead to 2014. The USFS will be in attendance.

Uwharrie USFS OHV trails close December 16th - that morning.

Last years meeting was a big sucess so we expect even bigger things to come from this one.

Hey everyone.... Post up what you would like to know answers to or ideas and I will help research/do some leg work.......

I know the projected date for when something might open up that people are interested in.

tell us Canuck!!

That close to Christmas, It's hard to say what I'll have going on, but I'll try to make this. I'd love for our group to be able to adopt a trail and get involved in more trail work days!

If you go down the trail heading to Wolfden you might see something completely tore down waiting to be built back up soon.

Was out there last Sunday and saw the old range was completely torn down

Yep. They are sifting the old berms right now for lead I heard. Goal is to have it up after the new year. We know how the Gub works though.

I have alot to talk about this time around. I look forward to going to this one.

Like how last year we were basically told that the trails were ours to maintain, but when we show up, self-funded, with engineered drawings and construction materials, ready to address significant known trail issues, we're told to stand down?

I have other things to talk about also but yes that is part of it man. Better keep my mouth shut till then. Get myself in trouble. Darn.

The USFS has given me two (2) 2014 passes to give-a-way. I figure I will give a raffle ticket to everyone that comes in the door. Hoping John Iannotte will help with prizes again too!

Tell ya what. After this last weekends showing I am about ready to bow out myself. Shit gets freakin old if you know what I mean. Had me and Debra not waited about 40 minutes it would of been just me and her.4 guys from UNC Charlotte kinda got wrangled in to help but did so gladly as it was mostly just wheelin up Daniel for them. I am very thankful for them cause we were about to hike up Daniel to install those signs.

I copied and pasted this from an email the USFS sent out today.
Hi Everyone – Attached is the flyer for the Uwharrie Rendezvous for the current OHV Adopt-A-Trail Volunteers and any future volunteers are welcome to come to discuss the trail work and volunteering on the Uwharrie National Forest.

Please contact Scott Fields and let him know if your club representative or you will be there. His contact information is on the flyer. We’ll discuss the Adopt-A-Trail program, how to improve it and go over the schedule for the 2014 season.

Thank you in advance for all of the volunteering you have done this year. It is greatly appreciated. Bye - Terry
