Deep Freeze question:

Is there anything wrong with putting a deep freeze outside?

nope. mine is outside. i keep the rain off it though

It's better if you keep it out of the sun... and it might not last as long (and require more power in the summer) than one kept in a more temperate space. But the chest freezer at my grandparents house has been in the shed forever.

I have had them on a covered porch and in a storage building with no problems.

lol, after looking around the house for a bit last night I found a spot to put that I normally just overlook. It would be in our foyer but our foyer is pretty big and there is a large spot that isn't being used for anything. Of course wifey looked at me like I was crazy until I showed her that it wouldn't stand out that bad. It would be more or less behind the door when walking into the house. Thanks for the replies, hopefully if I get some power to my shop/shed/out building I can put it in there.
