After doing a long-travel arm extension on my 4Runner, the hubs are now 3.5" farther out per side than they were. While the added stability is appreciated, I'm not a fan of the Bro look, plus we have fender laws here that will eventually make it an issue (a good buddy is a state inspection inspector and rags me about it all the time).
So I'd like to pull the wheel edge in some.
Most wheels seem to come with a small positive or negative offset, like backspacing 3.25-4.5 on 8" rims. I need something like 5-5.5 or even more on an 8" (offset like +20 or more).
This seems uncommon, as most of the Bro crowd wants to go the other way, push wheels out rather than pulling them in.
Any suggestions?
I currently have 16" tires so it'd be nice to keep them, but it may be just as economical to start over w/ 17s etc. I can't do 15s b/c of clearance on the ball joint and steering arm.
I seem to recall there may be some GM wheels like this? But don't they have a smaller center bore for the hub?
