Deleting Garage Threads

Why can't the original poster delete a thread they started in the garage?

Surely those with proper clout can delete garage threads?
 
Nobody can delete threads in the garage.
 
Makes no sense to me. I assume you can delete the Garage? Maybe there should be a disclaimer that anything you post in the garage is there for all time?

Well... no, because that wouldn't be true. Anyone can delete their own posts, same as anywhere else. But no one can delete threads.
 
I assume you can delete the Garage? Maybe there should be a disclaimer that any thread you start in the garage is there for all time? :)
