Deluxe Patina

Still a decent ole body, old guy lived down the road from me when I was a kid had one of these. I was 15 and wanted an old truck to hot rod (dad said I would get killed in a car??WTH??) I went down there one day and talked to him about me buying it, I looked it over and it was rough. I mean sitting for 10 years with a couple bags of fertilizer in the bed rough, about a 5" tree between the bumper and the grill.Nonetheless I decided that was what I wanted. Guy refused to price it, he said you come up with the money to make me a decent offer and come back and we will talk. I busted my ass that summer, getting up hay, cleaning out chicken houses, breaking horses even got a job at a restaurant working nights and weekends. I get $1500 cash in my pocket and go down there and offer it to this ole guy for this pile of scrap metal. He looks at me and says you really think its worth that much? Dumb kid says yes sir I really do. He says well if its worth that much to you then its worth that much to me so I better keep it. Man I was heart broken. Haha my dad took me to the car auction in Greensboro a couple of times and I found a SB step side '60 model Chevrolet with a V8 in it that was drove home from Greensboro (about 40 miles) and I had enough left over for glasspacks!! LOL Old guy died awhile back and they went in and cut that old stude out of the trees and there wasn't anything left of it. Had rotted to nothing.

That's probably not a bad price if the body is solid and the frame swap was done correctly.

I'd almost hate to see the fabwork that went into the body mounts. The fact that the ad states that they have been mounted makes me think there's only 3-5 mounts used. At least they used a good frame.

yep, when I finish my Jeep, Im gonna sand it with some 120 and set it outside. In a few weeks it'll double in price!
